This policy explains how Cross Country Movers (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our car shipping quote app in ChatGPT (“Auto Transport Shipping Cost”) and our quote and booking pages at quote.crosscountrymovers.com.
Information we collect
- Trip details: pickup and delivery city, state or ZIP code, and your first available date.
- Vehicle details: year, make, model, trim, whether it runs, and any modifications you tell us about.
- Contact details you choose to give us on the booking form or callback request: name, phone, email, optional pickup and delivery addresses, and notes.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type, used for security, rate limiting and spam prevention.
We do not ask for payment information in the app or on the booking page. Please don’t share sensitive information such as financial or health data.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your car shipping estimate.
- To contact you about your quote and booking by phone, text or email, when you ask us to and agree.
- To arrange transport with a carrier if you book with us.
- To keep the service secure and improve our pricing.
We don’t sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you book, we share the details needed to move your vehicle (such as name, phone and addresses) with the carrier assigned to your shipment.
Service providers
- Render hosts our servers and stores quote and booking data.
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) runs the chat where you use our app. Your conversation is also governed by OpenAI’s own privacy policy.
- OpenStreetMap / map tile provider and OSRM provide maps and driving routes. They receive the map area or route coordinates, not your name or contact details.
- Imagin.studio provides vehicle images. It receives the vehicle make, model and year only.
- Email delivery provider, if used, to send your request to our team.
Retention
Quotes are kept for up to 90 days. Booking and contact requests are kept for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting obligations, generally up to 3 years, and then deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for using them.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We will post updates on this page and change the date above.
